Thursday, Aug 4th @ 7pm
Dr. Caldwell  & Ann Esselstyn
We are very pleased to welcome the Esselstyns to this year's gathering. Dr. Esselstyn has been a surgeon, researcher and clinician at the Cleveland Clinic for over forty years. In his talk, "Becoming Heart Attack Proof", he will share the results of his twenty-year study which proves how choosing a plant-based diet can not only stop the progression of heart disease but also reverse it! Dr. Esselstyn and his wife Ann have followed a plant-based diet for more than 26  years. Ann will share her expertise in nutritional labeling and how to make healthy food choices.  http://www.heartattackproof.com/

FORKS OVER KNIVES
"a film that could save your life" - Roger Ebert
This recent documentary follows the groundbreaking work done by Dr. Esselstyn and Dr. T. Colin Campbell, a Cornell University nutritional biochemist, who has also been a speaker at the gathering.  Their independent research shows that degenerative diseases, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and even several forms of cancer, can be prevented - and in many cases reversed - by adopting a whole foods, plant-based diet.  http://www.forksoverknives.com/
